Hi, I'm Dick Morrill and I'm a certified Tapas Acupressure Technique Professional and TAT Trainer. I've led workshops in the Northeast and internationally and have been in private practice with clients for over 19 years.
My personal experience with PTSD comes from multiple traumas suffered while living and working in Viet Nam from 1966-1969.
Tapas Fleming, the originator of Tapas Acupressure Technique, introduced me to TAT in 1996 and I experienced a complete and permanent healing from my PTSD symptoms in one session. I will often point out how extremely skeptical I was at the thought that TAT could heal my traumas in just one session, but I happily admit how very wrong I was. "My issues just seem to have dissolved."
Working with War Veterans
The cause of your stress or trauma doesn't matter. However, because of my personal knowledge of the issues that war veterans experience, I have a special affinity for working with veterans and active duty military personnel and their families.
In August 2008, I joined Tapas Fleming and three other TAT Trainers to conduct a two-week workshop with veterans and military personnel from Fort Benning, in Columbus, Georgia. The highly successful workshop led to including the spouses and children of war veterans.
I bring experience, compassion and intuition to every client and TAT session, as well as an abundance of dedication to TAT - my life's work.
Trapped Under a Helicopter in the Viet Nam War
I knew I was going to die, as I waited, trapped under a helicopter that was about to explode.
Later, I thought that TAT couldn't possibly heal the stress of 28 years of PTSD that resulted from that crash. But I was wrong about both of those things. Being wrong never felt so good!
